Internal Wall Insulation Funding

Under the ECO4 Grant Scheme, Internal Wall Insulation is fully funded. If your home was built before 1920, it will likely have a solid wall. Internal Wall Insulation is a suitable solution for all solid wall properties. It offers proven solution in homes where External Wall Insulation is not appropriate to install, such as listed buildings or those in a conservation area.

Please note that installing Internal Wall Insulation can be disruptive and require removing and re-fixing utilities that may not be usable while work is in progress. Cavity walls are constructed with two layers of brickwork with a gap or cavity in between them. In general, houses built from 1990s onwards have wall insulation to keep the heat in, but if your house is older than that, it may not have any wall insulation at all. Cavity Wall Insulation is a simple straightforward process. Before starting the process, it is essential to have an inspection of the subject cavity wall as the health of the wall directly affects the benefits of the insulation.
