What is ECO4 Grant?

The ECO4 Scheme, set by the government, aims to assist low-income households in improving their dwellings' energy efficiency by reducing heat losses and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The primary goal is to reduce fuel poverty and improve energy ratings.

Unlike GBIS, the ECO4 Grant Scheme is not limited; it offers grants for whole-house improvement, i.e., funding for more than one energy measure. Funding is available for building insulations, inefficient heating systems and renewable energy sources with the condition of property energy rating and qualifying benefits. ECO4 Grants are available subject to the outcome of the ECO4 Grants Solution Energy Assessor's assessment. Even if you have an existing EPC, we still require an assessment, which is free of cost.

What is Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS)?

The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), formerly known as ECO+, is a new government initiative that focuses on property insulation to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy bills.

This scheme will be available until March 2026. Full funding is provided for single insulation measures such as Loft insulation, Room-In-Roof insulation, Flat Roof insulation and Cavity Wall insulation, Room Thermostat and Heating controls However, contributions may be required for external and internal wall insulation, depending on the assessment outcome, property type, and built form.
